A few words about today’s nature trail: Xystarouda – Agiasma – Vasiliki (Kykkos) Nature Trail, Troodos mountains, Cyprus.

It’s considered quite a difficult path as it’s mainly uphill, 7 kilometres, and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

The hike started from the Xystarouda picnic area (just after Pedoulas), we passed by the location where the holy water of the Kykkos Monastery flows, descended towards the river, and crossed the river via the bridge, and then climbed upwards towards the Ayios Vasilios church through thick forest and lush vegetation. The path ended a little below the Kykkos Monastery.
