Today’s Hike & Adventure!
Life Doesn’t Stop at 50 was at the ‘Loumata ton Aeton’ Nature Trail in Troodos mountains, Cyprus.
The adventure started before we even got to the trail! The bus broke down and we had to walk 3 km to get to the starting point of the hike, plus another 4 km walk on the hike!
But it was so worth it once we got there! Nature in all its glory, fresh air, amazing scenery, a whole new experience.
After the hike we went for a quick dip in the pool to cool off at Petra’s Valley in Evrixou and then for a very yummy lunch in the village of Kakopetria.
Just a few words about today’s hike:
The ‘Loumata ton Aeton’ nature trail is located within the Troodos National Forest Park, connecting Troodos with the Amiantos Mine and the community of Kato Amiantos.
The trail runs through a beautiful hillside and along the riverbank with lush vegetation, ending at Amiantos Park. It also passes the hideout of the EOKA fighters and the stream Loumata ton Aeton.
