The Persephone Hiking Trail!

At last! Back to hiking today after a 6-month break because of an Achilles tendon injury!

The Persephone trail, located in the Troodos National Forest Park in Cyprus, is an easy hike with spectacular views.

The trail passes through a dense black pine forest with lush vegetation, and also offers an amazing view of the Amiantos (Asbestos) mine.

The route ends at the ‘Makria Kontarka’ site which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island.

We did the hike as a circular trail, returning back to our starting point via a dirt road.
