People are always asking me where I get my energy from!
Well, it’s actually from a combination of different things!
Firstly, I drink lots of water, a minimum of 2 liters a day.
Water is essential for energy – when we don’t drink enough water, we become dehydrated, which makes us feel tired, and we have low energy.
I also eat complex carbs, healthy fats, and plant-based proteins.
I eat simple meals, ‘wholefoods’, ‘clean foods’, and I detox regularly.
Plus, I eat lots of snacks throughout the day (you will always find a banana and some nuts & seeds in my bag!)
I avoid processed foods, bad fats, sugar, and white flour products.
Below are some examples of energy-giving foods:
Complex carbohydrates such as oats, quinoa, brown rice, sweet potatoes, avocados, chickpeas, nuts & seeds, peanut butter.
Dried fruits such as goji berries, raisons, dried figs, dates, and apricots.
Fruit, especially bananas & apples.
Vegetables like spinach & broccoli.
Salmon, yogurt, and eggs.
Wheatgrass supplement.
